Charter Place apartments in Hounslow is more than just a place to live, it’s a way of life. And 2023 was a great year for our community – with regular events bringing our residents together to talk, dance, relax and be creative. There really was something for everyone, from budding artists and chocoholics to tennis fans and even our four-legged friends.
Seasonal celebrations
We said hello to spring with a potting party, giving residents a chance to pot their own seedlings, and marked Easter with an egg hunt and magic show for our younger friends. Later in the year, our neighbours came together to break bread at a special Eid celebration in our resident dining room.
Rounding off the sunny season, more than 150 residents danced the afternoon away at our summer party, complete with live music from the Ripple Effect Party Band and refreshments from Hounslow suppliers Ballucci Coffee and Roving Café London. As the nights started to draw in we marked Diwali with a glow in the dark art event, and launched our monthly game nights – what better way to get to know your neighbours than by challenging them to a game of Monopoly?
Screening events
Our residents lounge hosted numerous screenings throughout the year. This included a Coronation Watch Party to mark the historic day King Charles III was crowned, a chance to catch the Wimbledon final, and a scary movie night for Halloween, complete with candy and a fancy-dress competition.
There have been plenty of chances to win all kinds of goodies too. One lucky resident won a luxury chocolate hamper for World Chocolate Day, while the winner of our photo competition took home an Amazon Echo. We have also partnered with neighbourhood coffee house Ballucci to offer residents the chance to win discounts and gift vouchers at the store.
Every day’s a school day
Our diverse diary of activities also gave residents at the Hounslow rental apartments the chance to learn a new skill. From a Bollywood dancing workshop and a chance to explore your creative side at our Sip ‘n’ Paint evening, there was an event to suit almost any interest.
Being a pet friendly apartment, we couldn’t leave our animals out of the fun. Marking International Dog Day, Paws and Play gave residents and their fur babies a chance to play and make friends, with a trainer on hand to offer tips and tricks.
Giving back
At Charter Place, supporting our community is everything – both physically and emotionally. Throughout 2023 we held weekly yoga and online exercise classes, and invited keen runners to join our residents running club – all levels welcome! To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, we hosted a guided meditation session, and invited neighbours to slow down and connect at our World Mental Health Day coffee morning. We also have TRAID clothes and food collection points on site, allowing residents to donate what they can for those in need.
